The Eye

People, I have an announcement to make; that I, probably, just having one of the best breakfast, ever.
Seriously.

Well, first of all I won't gave you the whole recipe, simply because I didn't do most of the work (off course I would if I could). It was actually the leftovers from last night dinner. Me and my sister are having capcay and shrimp with padang sauce. We ate all the shrimp but we still keep the sauce, since it soo freakin delicious.
And (again) I've just watch the food channel, and they're making this yummy lookin rissoto. So from that idea, I was tryin to make my own kind of rissoto, using the leftovers of padang sauce and capcay. And there you go.

I basically just mix it all together in the pan, and put some cooked rice in it, and the stir it nicely with medium heat. I decided to give it some little twist, just by cracking an egg on top of it. And then make sure the fire are in the real low condotion and then cover it. and let the heat do the magic.
Off course at first I was affraid that it'll burn the bottom and left me some pretty hard work on the dishes, but I'll say "let's give it try!". And apparently, its not! yiay.. I left it for about 10-15 minutes and voila!

Well, actually I think I left it too long because for me the egg are a bit overcooked, it would be just perfect if I have it a medium cooked. But its all right, its still damn good!

There you go, a little trick for leftover sauce, enjoy :)

Morning Brew

Its been a cold morning in Bogor, its so cold it makes me wear turtleneck, and I hate turtleneck, it makes me feel like being choked.
Anyway, I considered myself a coffee person. I must always have coffee to get through my day. Usually the black one, like, real black, where you can only find coffee and very hot water in it, and nothing else. But in the morning I use to go a bit kind to my kidney, so here's one of my favorite twist.

Basically I just put couple of sliced and crushed ginger, and then add an appropriate amount of condensed milk. Oh, and NO sugar people, just let the ginger and milk do their magic. Enjoy :)

A lunch with a tos

Okay, this is my first recipe posting (I hope there'll be next), still a rookie, hope I'm doing good.
Well,  I found this almost expired breast chicken fillet in the fridge, so I guess it means that I MUST eat it, like, RITE NOW. And then last night I was watching food channel and they made such a mouth watering fish and chips, so.. from that inspiration, I came out with this! (I know it's everything but close with fish and chips.. but hey..at least they still got this 'crunchy on the outside' kinda thing ;P)

Its basically a crunchy chicken fillet, but instead of using bread flour (since we apparently didn't have any), I use..... wait for it... Happytos crumbs! Yep, you read it right. I crush the happytos and made it as a replacement for bread flour.
First off all I season the fillet (I personally recommend the fresh one ;P) with salt, pepper, chili powder and a little pinch of garlic powder. Leave them for about 10 - 15 minutes.

And came to the fun part: dipping! First I batter it with all use white flour (or the already seasoned flour will do good. You know the one that usually use for instant fried chicken. It'll add up more taste) and then dip it in an egg (off course after you whisk it), and the last; the happytos crumb. Fried them in a pan with some hot oil for about 3 - 4 minutes.

To balance the protein and all that happytos and fried pan callories, I cook some veggie. I use zuchini, tomato, green paprika, along with garlic and white onion, and off course some cayenne pepper (its definitely an option). Cook it with a small amount of margarine, and put a little salt and pepper touch (I add a pinch of chicken stock powder too in it). And voila!

"A fried pan happytos fillet with zuchini and tomato saute"

Enjoy :)
